Engine Thermal Analysis

VECTIS includes numerous tools that combine with its ease of use to make it a powerful tool for thermal analysis. With its fast meshing capability VECTIS can be used to quickly analyse complex water jacket shapes and look at optimising the cooling performance. Both the fluid and solid components can be modelled so that the interaction of the fluid flow with the cylinder block and head can be analysed

With these tools warm up times, hot soak and other transient thermal behaviour can be simulated easily allowing engineers to intelligently develop the cooling system
