2008 European Software Conference
Ricardo Software is pleased to announce the 2008 European Software conference, to be held in Prague, Czech Republic, on Tuesday, November 18th 2008.
The technical focus will cover all of Ricardo Software's
products and there will be opportunities to discuss recent developments and
future plans with the development and support teams. At this years conferencewe will be demonstrating the first ever release of WAVE-RT, included as part ofWAVE 8.1, together with a new integrated desktop environment, R-Desk that includes in the first release VECTIS-MAX and FEARCE.
With WAVE-RT, Ricardo will be launching a ground-breaking real time
performance simulation product. This tool completes the engineering workflow
from base engine design right through to control system development, and
provides the highest fidelity modelling available for SiL and HiL simulation to
date!
In the first release of R-Desk, Ricardo will be offering the powerful toolset
combination of VECTIS-MAX and FEARCE, for the complete thermal and
structural analysis of the engine. Building on the advantages of the existing
VECTIS software, VECTIS-MAX delivers fast, efficient and streamlined workflow by providing a more tightly integrated simulation experience. FEARCE is Ricardo’s finite element environment built upon decades of analysis at the cutting edge of the automotive industry. The release of FEARCE 8 within R-Desk represents the first time that this tool has been available externally with full GUI features, offering extensive and in many cases unique pre and post processing features for FE analysis. In subsequent releases R-Desk will include all the software products offered by Ricardo.

night. This is a great opportunity to chat to Ricardo Software
representatives and our clients in a relaxed and social atmosphere.
In the days following the conference a selection of bespoke training classes will be held at our Prague office. The content of these classes will be announced in due course, most likely in the next four weeks.

Call for papers - What's in it for you?
If you are interested in presenting at this years conference, please
contact us at RS_EUC@ricardo.com. Completed papers or presentations
are due October, 31st 2008. We do however require a short synopsis of
your paper/presentation beforehand. Please submit this by September
19th, 2008. The topic for the presentations can relate to any
application of our software within your business.
The conference itself is an ideal venue to promote your work in front
of major OEM's and Tier1 suppliers. Additionally, there is a good
chance that your work might get published in Ricardo Quarterly and/or
the Ricardo Software & CAE Newsletter. Both publications enjoy a
worldwide audience and thus would supply excellent exposure of your
expertise.
