Associate ESG Consultant

- Sustainability Strategy & Reporting: We assist organisations with compliance to ESG reporting frameworks and standards, as well as developing and implementing ESG strategies and reporting processes.
- Climate Strategy & Reporting: We help organisations assess and manage climate-related risks and opportunities.
As our workload grows, we are seeking experienced Associate ESG Consultants to join our team on an ad-hoc basis, providing support across both workstreams.
As an Associate ESG Consultant, you will play a key role in supporting our expanding projects by leveraging your expertise in climate strategy and sustainability reporting. Your contributions will directly shape and enhance our client’s ESG efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance in developing and implementing climate strategies and reporting, including risk assessments and scenario analysis aligned with TCFD.
- Assist in preparing sustainability strategies and reports, including materiality assessments (impact, financial and double materiality) in line with ESG standards such as GRI, ISSB, SASB and CSRD.
- Engage with clients to understand their needs and deliver tailored ESG solutions.
- Contribute to deliverables such as detailed reports, risk assessments and sustainability reports.
- Support stakeholder engagement activities, including workshops and interviews.
- Conduct sustainability assurance tasks, including data analysis and evaluating reports for compliance with standards such as GRI, SASB and TCFD.
Key Experience and Skills
Climate Strategy & Reporting
- Proven experience in developing and delivering climate risk assessments and strategies, aligned with frameworks like TCFD and CDP.
- Strong understanding of climate science, scenario analysis and risk management strategies.
- Ability to turn climate-related data into actionable insights and produce detailed climate reports.
Sustainability Strategy & Reporting
- Expertise in conducting materiality assessments and sustainability reporting, following frameworks such as GRI, ISSB, SASB and CSRD.
- In-depth knowledge of emerging ESG reporting trends and sustainability challenges across various sectors.
- Experience leading stakeholder engagement activities including interviews and workshops.
Sustainability assurance
Experience in leading assurance engagements, including data analysis and evaluating sustainability reports for compliance with global standards.
- Assist in evaluating ESG metrics across various industries to ensure accuracy and reliability, in accordance with assurance standards such as ISAE 3000, AA1000AS and ISO 14064.
- Ability to prepare audit documentation and reports, ensuring quality and adherence to assurance protocols.
