Business Systems Lead

Salary: $75,000 to $100,000 plus benefits

The Role

The Business Systems Lead is essential to the Performance Products US team, driving the implementation and optimization of the core ERP system to streamline workflows, improve scalability, and enhance collaboration.

This role manages strategic technology projects, provides ERP support, and ensures operational teams effectively utilize the system. By building strong stakeholder relationships and enhancing processes, the Lead delivers solutions that drive real-world benefits. Reporting to the Business Systems Manager and the US General Manager, the role supports diverse stakeholders across Ricardo’s US DTC site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement core enterprise systems into DTC PP site.
  • Establish and maintain governance and control of key processes and environment.
  • Provide first line support of ERP system to DTC PP Inc employees.
  • Provide training to DTC PP Inc employees in ERP and related apps.
  • Managing relationships with all PP US departments to ensure open dialogue, collaboration and developing trust.
  • Responsible for documenting and supporting operational processes within the ERP system.
  • Working with end users to understand and document data analysis and reporting requirements, and then delivering them.
  • Identify operational Business Systems requirements and improvements and deliver them whilst adhering to PP process standards.
  • Administration and support of user setup, related equipment, and integrations to external systems.
  • Sharing knowledge, learning and ideas with the UK team.
  • Research and recommend future technology to enhance business operations.
  • Managing relationships with software providers to ensure optimal service.

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Experience of working with Infor LN or similar ERP systems
  • Demonstrable experience of managing and implementing of full ERP system or significant change.
  • Experience of producing Technical/Process documentation
  • Knowledge of relational databases and query writing (not necessarily DBA level)
  • Able to investigate requests/issues and quickly provide effective solutions/answers.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to review local customer requirements and translate them into deliverable designs with the best overall high level benefit.
  • Able to travel to UK for initial on-boarding process and possible future travel.
  • Ability to lead a conversation to form and document a full understanding of a customer requirement.
  • Proactively taking ownership of the whole process for understanding, defining, developing and delivering to a customer requirement
  • Ability to operate effectively anywhere between detailed operational support and high level strategic planning

Desirable Competencies and Experience

  • Knowledge of barcoding solutions including related hardware.
  • SQL query (MS and/or PostGreSQL)
  • Microsoft Power BI / Power Query/Reporting Services
  • Experience in functionality design, Tools and Extensibility in Infor LN
  • Experience in an industrial / manufacturing environment
  • Ability to understand and see how business processes work and interact with Business Systems and with each other.
