OVERVIEW
We are looking for a new colleague, Senior Power Electronics Engineer, to join our hybrid & electronics team to be a key part of project delivery teams, leading technical tasks for overall successful delivery of client projects.
Job Duties
Working as part of a multi-national team you will be responsible for the following tasks:
- Provide technical delivery of electrical and electronic projects
- Deliver projects on time in budget
- Responsible for system design, development and validation of electrical and electronic systems
- Technical support of the sales team
- Communicate directly with clients on technical issues
- Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to develop specifications and solutions
The ideal candidate will have most of the following:
- Degree in an Engineering discipline
- Ability to design analogue, digital and power electronics systems
- Experience in isolated DC/DC converter design and traction inverter development in the 10kW to 150kW range
- Familiar with product delivery process from requirements capture through to design validation
- Experience in compliance engineering to external standards, such as EMC, vehicle safety etc.
- At least intermediate level of English (daily use and communication with native speakers)
- Strong teamwork, organizational, oral and written communication skills
Additional skills that would be advantageous include:
- Experience in delivering DFMEA for design
- Experience in design for manufacture
- Experience in a schematic entry, ideally using Altium Designer
- Experience using schematic simulation tools – pSpice, LTSpice base
