OVERVIEW

We are looking for a new colleague, Senior Power Electronics Engineer, to join our hybrid & electronics team to be a key part of project delivery teams, leading technical tasks for overall successful delivery of client projects.

Job Duties

Working as part of a multi-national team you will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Provide technical delivery of electrical and electronic projects
• Deliver projects on time in budget
• Responsible for system design, development and validation of electrical and electronic systems
• Technical support of the sales team
• Communicate directly with clients on technical issues
• Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to develop specifications and solutions

The ideal candidate will have most of the following:

• Degree in an Engineering discipline
• Ability to design analogue, digital and power electronics systems
• Experience in isolated DC/DC converter design and traction inverter development in the 10kW to 150kW range
• Familiar with product delivery process from requirements capture through to design validation
• Experience in compliance engineering to external standards, such as EMC, vehicle safety etc.
• At least intermediate level of English (daily use and communication with native speakers)
• Strong teamwork, organizational, oral and written communication skills

Additional skills that would be advantageous include:

• Experience in delivering DFMEA for design
• Experience in design for manufacture
• Experience in a schematic entry, ideally using Altium Designer
• Experience using schematic simulation tools – pSpice, LTSpice base
