Ricardo’s approach to Systems Engineering is designed to ensure the most efficient and robust approach according to your needs and constraints.
We call this approach R-PASE, Ricardo Pragmatic Agile Systems Engineering. It allows us to adapt our Systems Engineering approach from fully Systematic to Pragmatic and Agile.
Fully Systematic
Our engineers have experience delivering projects where absolute rigour and traceability are paramount. In these cases our full suite of Systems Engineering processes designed in line with ISO 15288 and often following a traditional waterfall Systems V-Model are deployed.
Ricardo has delivered projects in sectors such as Aerospace, Defence and Automotive where this approach has been successfully used to develop certified production solutions.
Pragmatic and Agile
Our engineers have experience of delivering proof of concept and technology demonstrator projects where the project output is designed to inform the future system design and requirements. In this case a more pragmatic and agile approach is deployed. Our core Ricardo processes are still utilised but tailored accordingly.

We then agree the correct system architecture and ensure that all requirements are captured in a solution agnostic manner.
