Blanca Fernandez

Dr Blanca Fernandez is a Senior Economist at Ricardo Energy & Environment with over 10 years’ experience working on environmental policy and climate change economics. She holds a PhD in Climate Change Economics and her thesis focused on the assessment of a policy portfolio to reduce GHG emissions in urban areas. Her experience includes projects of all stages from the policy lifecycle across various thematic areas, including climate finance and climate policy, air quality, transport, energy, waste and circular economy. Her consultancy experience includes supporting, local, national and international public institutions, alongside private sector clients. Blanca has a strong grounding in economic theory and excellent experience of its application to fiscal policy design and development.
