Biography

Eleri is a Senior Air Quality Consultant in the at Ricardo. She has six years of experience in air quality, with strong adaptable technical skills enabling her to contribute to the delivery of numerous projects, ranging from small scale qualitative planning reports to large EIA schemes. She has experience in monitoring air pollutants with both diffusion tubes and OSIRIS monitors, feeding the information into modelling (ADMS-Roads) reports. Eleri also has experience in data analysis (R). Eleri’s most recent work includes helping deliver capacity building workshop for the ASEAN countries on air quality monitoring and data management systems and the development of an Air Quality Toolkit for Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), providing key information on air pollution and guidance in how their development projects can lead to air quality improvement, as well as track those improvements. She has also helped to deliver two projects relating to the Breathe Cities Programme with the Clean Air Fund and C40 Cities. The first was assisting the data strategy project to help cities cost effectively set up and manage air quality data, the second was creating and piloting the City Capacity and Needs Assessment, to assess the key priority policy areas a city can concentrate on to improve air quality.  

During her career so far, Eleri has gained experience with working in large multi-disciplinary teams, contributing to work within Ecology, Noise and EIA projects. She has worked with both the public and private sector. 

Eleri has a Masters Degree in Climate Change, Environmental Science and Policy from King’s College London and a Bachelors Degree in Environmental Science with a Year Abroad from the University of Manchester. During her undergraduate degree she took part in a six-week internship with the Ministry of Education (Government of Rwanda) and MIT, working on the climate observatory and collecting baseline air quality data from around the capital city, Kigali, which contributed to her final year project.
