Biography

Emma is an experienced environmental policy practitioner and project manager who specialises in strategy and performance. She brings an analytical and critical approach to complex systems.

Emma has a diverse range of experience across the natural resource management and adaptation sectors. Her expertise includes working across all stages of the program evaluation lifecycle from design to implementation to review; strategy and policy development and review; and stakeholder engagement and facilitation.

She has developed and applied evaluation approaches for multiple large and complex government programs including water management and markets, bushfire management, biodiversity investment, coastal water quality programs, and renewables investment. She combines a deep understanding of best-practice technical approaches, underpinned by Australian Evaluation Society training, with fluency in government requirements and audiences. She also regularly supports strategy development for clients at all levels of government and across the emergency management sector, with a focus on delivering outcomes while building resilience to climate change.

Emma has designed multiple stakeholder engagement strategies and regularly facilitates collaboration between diverse stakeholder groups including all levels of government, industry, research organisations, technical and science specialists and community stakeholders. She understands how to manage multiple perspectives and interests respectfully and efficiently to reach shared goals.
