Biography

Greg Logelain is an experienced environmental consultant and chartered waste manager with over a decade of expertise in waste strategy, resource management, and commercial due diligence. His work spans national and international projects, with a strong focus on waste market assessments, feedstock analysis, and energy-from-waste (EfW) infrastructure development.

Greg has developed a particular expertise in 'Waste-to-X' solutions, exploring innovative pathways for waste valorisation, including chemical recycling, alternative fuels, and circular economy applications. His background includes significant contributions at the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management (CIWM), where he supported key legislative changes and published industry guidance.

His project portfolio includes large-scale waste strategy development for national infrastructure, pioneering data-driven models to optimize supply and demand dynamics. He has also led a global EfW infrastructure assessment, providing critical insights into waste-to-energy trends. Currently, Greg manages commercial due diligence and market research projects, such as the independent review of Biffa’s acquisition, demonstrating his expertise in evaluating complex waste and resource industry investments.

Greg holds an MSc in Pollution and Monitoring from Brunel University and a BSc in Physical Geography from Royal Holloway, University of London. His diverse experience across AFRY, Atkins, Wood PLC, and CIWM highlights his deep understanding of waste regulations, circular economy principles, and sustainable resource management.
