Biography

Jackson Xue is a professional engineer with experience in developing vehicle system requirements and specifications, managing system interfaces, applying 'Buy America' requirements, performing vehicle condition assessments, and supporting vehicle procurement. 

Jackson's expertise extends across all modes of rail vehicle equipment, with previous roles that have been engaged in mechanical systems, functional safety, manufacturing processes, vehicle design, system integration, and testing and commissioning.

He is an active industry committee member in developing safety structural requirements for streetcars, light rail vehicles, and heavy rail vehicles (through ASME’s Rail Transit Vehicle Commitee), new Tier III high-speed rail regulations and Tier IA alternative compliance regulations (through FRA’s Passenger Safety Working Group), and international best practices for the introduction of battery-electric and hydrogen passenger rail equipment (through APTA’s Battery-Electric and Hydrogen Passenger Rail Committee).
