John Kelly

Dr John Kelly works with clients to support the development of Carbon Capture Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) and industrial decarbonisation strategy and implementation, with a particular focus on the UK and Europe. He has over 15 years of energy industry experience including the development of CCUS (with a focus on industrial decarbonisation), the hydrogen economy, technical due diligence, strategy and Capital Projects. 

Before joining Ricardo in 2025, John worked for AFRY on CCUS and hydrogen projects in Europe and the Middle East, for IPA on large capital projects globally, and in upstream oil and gas and strategy for both Shell and Sasol.
