Biography
Laura Rolo is a highly accomplished Principal Advisory Consultant specialising in offshore wind and maritime clean‑energy projects across Europe and international markets. With more than 11 years of experience spanning consultancy, engineering and project development, she brings a distinctive combination of technical rigour, commercial insight and strategic leadership.
Laura has held senior roles at leading organisations including DNV and BlueFloat Energy, where she has driven early‑stage development and technical due diligence for offshore wind projects across Europe, Latin America, Asia‑Pacific and the Middle East. Her expertise covers the full early‑development spectrum, including site selection, market analysis, permitting and EIAs, grid‑connection strategy, pre‑FEED engineering, port and supply‑chain assessment, financial review, commercial strategy, and stakeholder and government engagement.
As Senior Business Project Developer for Italy and Spain and deputy Country Manager for Portugal, Laura has played a key role in advancing new offshore‑wind markets, shaping regulatory dialogue and building effective cross‑border partnerships. Beyond offshore wind, she has worked extensively across a broad range of clean‑power technologies, including onshore wind, solar PV, battery energy‑storage systems and hydropower.
Recognised for her ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, navigate complex regulatory landscapes and de‑risk large‑scale infrastructure projects, Laura consistently delivers efficient, high‑quality outcomes for clients and partners. She holds an MSc with Distinction in Sustainable Engineering and Offshore Renewable Energy and is fluent in English and Spanish, with working proficiency in French and Portuguese.
