Seamus Rooney

Seamus Rooney is a mechanical engineer with over 11 years of experience in the renewable heat sector and significant experience in designing heat pump systems, writing specifications, monitoring systems, analysing data as well as auditing installations and writing guidance documents. He previously worked as the design engineer for a major heat pump installer and was responsible for developing procedures for compliance with regulations, signing off designs and fault diagnosis and resolution.

He has advised councils and social landlords on the suitability of their properties for domestic heat pump installations by developing methodologies to use available databases to determine properties likely to be suitable for heat pump systems.
