HR Advisor/Business Partner

The Role
We are currently looking for an HR Advisor/Business Partner to join our People team in a UK centric role. You will enable the delivery of overall business goals by providing operational support to multiple Business Area Managers and People & Performance Managers in the Clean Energy and Environmental Solutions business unit. You will focus on identifying and co-ordinating the implementation of HR solutions to improve business performance and providing management coaching on HR issues.
You will also work closely with the other HRBPs and HR Operations Manager to ensure that the service is consistent across the business. You will find the HRBP team incredibly supportive and welcoming. The team regularly discuss solutions and share learning to make sure the best and latest thinking has been considered in our service to the business. We are a team that is continually developing and hence you will be comfortable with change, managing your priorities and a varying set of tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Proactive support to Business Area Managers, Team Leaders and Line managers
- Operational HR advice and associated transactional tasks
- Inductions and probations supporting new starter integration
- Contract changes
- Support and advice with promotion cases, salary reviews
- Data management and analysis
- Delivering training and presenting at local business meetings
- Managing maternity/paternity/flexible working/home working requests
- Providing input into HR strategic goals and operational plans
- Contributing to the creation and implementation of new policies and processes
- Involvement in HR projects as required
- Performance management, disciplinary, grievances and redundancy
- Challenge and coach line managers on how to engage employees, address resulting people and employee relations issues and build people capabilities effectively.
Key Competencies and Experience
- Significant experience in an HR environment, with proven expertise in a generalist HR role.
- Proactive and confident in decision-making at line manager level, with guidance as needed.
- Comfortable working in an ambiguous environment
- Strong organisational skills to manage operational responsibilities while contributing to wider business initiatives.
- Thorough understanding of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels of the business.
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively.
- Discreet handling of sensitive information, always ensuring confidentiality
- Proficient in Microsoft tools, including: Power BI, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Desirable: CIPD Level 5 qualification (minimum).
