The Role

We’re seeking talented professionals to join our Rail Certification and Consulting team. This is your opportunity to leverage your expertise in software and safety assurance while contributing to projects that shape the future of rail.

Key Responsibilities
- Produce high-quality analysis, assessments, reports, and designs to support client projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
- Innovate new tools and techniques to meet client needs, drawing from global best practices.
- Plan and execute project activities, ensuring timely delivery and client satisfaction.
- Provide technical expertise and inputs for business development activities and proposals.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative risk assessments, ensuring client safety and satisfaction.
- Represent our company in client meetings, workshops, and industry events.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to drive project success.
- Assume leadership roles as needed to support business objectives.
- Contribute to the growth of our North American business through delivering excellence to our clients.
Key Competencies and Experience
- Degree in computer science, electronic/electrical engineering or similar.
- Highly experienced in the rail industry.
- Understanding of system safety for complex electronic systems in the rail industry.
- Experience with CENELEC system safety standards (EN50126, 50128, 50129).
- Awareness of different railway signalling systems and principles (e.g. CBTC, PTC, ETCS).
- Experience with safety analysis techniques for complex systems (e.g. fault tree analysis, failure modes and effects analysis, functional failure analysis, hazard identification).
- Familiarity with software development and verification techniques for safety-critical software (e.g. coding standards, software testing, static analysis).
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational abilities, flexible and adept at meeting deadlines.
Desirable experience
- Awareness of field testing (e.g. system integration tests, dynamic testing, trial running) In depth.
- knowledge of CMREA / CSM / CENELEC standards.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Railway System, including CMREA, is advantageous.
