Production Team Leader - Weekend Shift

Salary: £48,000  - £52,000 per annum inclusive of weekend shift premium

Ricardo is a world‑class engineering and technology consultancy, delivering innovative, low‑emission and high‑efficiency solutions across global industries. We are seeking a proactive Production Team Leader to support our weekend shift operations within our Manufacturing team.

The Role

As a Production Team Leader, you will be responsible for ensuring effective production flow, safety, quality, and delivery performance. You will lead, support, and motivate your team, ensuring smooth operations, accurate documentation, and adherence to company processes and standards. You will act as the main point of contact for all shift‑related activities, driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee production operations to meet schedule, quality, and efficiency targets.
  • Maintain compliance with Health & Safety, environmental, and quality policies.
  • Manage team performance, training, attendance, and development.
  • Ensure accurate completion of timesheets, route cards, and booking transactions.
  • Maintain and present SDQCPE boards, highlighting key performance insights.
  • Communicate maintenance needs and operational issues promptly.
  • Coordinate with other team leaders to support resource flexibility and overtime needs.

The successful candidate must bring confident and supportive leadership, with the ability to guide, motivate, and develop your team while maintaining strong standards across safety, quality, and performance. You will be highly organised, an effective communicator, and committed to driving continuous improvement within your area.
