Role: Independent Assurance Team Lead

The Role

Lead and develop a high-performing team to meet current and future customer needs, working collaboratively across business units and with the Business Development community to drive strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities

People:

  • Manage Team: Set objectives, monitor and review progress and behaviours, provide feedback and support via 1:1s and PDR.
  • Develop Team: Work with Operations Manager (OM) and HR colleagues to define and deliver development opportunities tailored to team requirements (including training, mentoring, coaching etc.)
  • Competencies: Ensure team competencies are up to date.
  • Manage Resources: Work with Project Manager (PM) to proactively manage team utilisation to balance effort across team and optimise deployment of people across portfolio of projects both within the team, wider UK business and on overseas opportunities, manage resourcing conflicts proactively.
  • Leave Management: Notifying the PM to allow for project planning.
  • Secure Resources: Work with OM to consider longer term alignment of resources and effort required, recruiting additional team members in-line with delivery of business plan.

Clients/projects:

  • Lead Relationships: Lead positive relationships with key prospects, clients and collaborators.
  • Ensure Quality: Foster a culture of delivering high-quality outputs, reviewing proposals prior to submission

Financial performance:

  • Lead Relationships: Lead positive relationships with key prospects, clients and collaborators.

Key Competencies and Experience

  • Ability to manage people and projects effectively with high degree of communication and commercial skills.
  • Ability to interact and maintain strong client and other stakeholder relationships.
  • Ability to mentor.
  • Demonstrates ability to manage complex and rapidly changing priorities.
