Ricardo named Europe Climate Leader
01 May 2025
Ricardo has been added to the Financial Times’ Europe Climate Leader list, reflecting the company’s commitment to reducing GHG emissions.
The 2025 Europe Climate Leaders list, compiled alongside Statista, highlights European companies making progress in cutting greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The list focuses primarily on businesses that have achieved the greatest reduction in their Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions intensity over a five-year period.
In addition, transparency on Scope 3 emissions and working with sustainability accessors, such as CDP, are also considered.
Ricardo reported that it had achieved a 42.8% reduction in Scope 1 and 2 emissions from its 2019 baseline, has seen an 11% year-on-year reduction in Scope three emissions, and received an improved sustainability rating from CDP of B for 2024.
Speaking of the achievement Ricardo Group Director for Sustainability, Clive Wotton, said, “We’re delighted to be recognised as not only a leading energy and environmental consultancy, but for our own commitment to reducing our GHG emissions as a business.”
