Christopher Evangelides

Christopher is a geospatial data scientist and Earth Observation expert specialising in air quality, greenhouse gas emissions modelling, and vegetation and ecosystem monitoring. As the focal point for R&D in spatial emissions inventories, he leads a team of remote sensing scientists on diverse environmental monitoring projects, such as wildfire detection to assess impacts on air quality and carbon sinks, and algal bloom detection for water quality using multispectral imagery. Leveraging his extensive expertise in geospatial programming, Christopher also contributes to climate adaptation projects, mapping exposure to environmental hazards to support resilience planning.
