David Carslaw
Biography
David has over 20 years' experience in air pollution science having previously worked at the Environmental Research Group at King's College London and the Institute for Transport Studies at the University of Leeds. He leads the open source 'openair' project that has developed and made available many innovative data analysis techniques. The openair software is used extensively throughout the world and continues to evolve. Recently, David led two Defra projects using vehicle emission remote sensing to better understand vehicle emissions in urban areas. This work led to the first comprehensive primary NO2 emission measurements in Europe using a remote sensing technique. He has been a member of AQEG (Air Quality Expert Group) since 2002.
