Associate Director, Strategic Waste Operations
Biography
Lorna is a Chartered Waste Manager with over 25 years experience advising local authorities and private sector clients on waste and resource strategies.
At Ricardo, she leads on waste modelling and strategy development, helping organisations optimise services, reduce costs, and meet climate objectives. Lorna recently completed a secondment with Defra, where she designed and implemented the Local Authority Packaging Cost and Performance Model to support the UK’s packaging Extended Producer Responsibility scheme. She is a member of CIWM’s Policy and Innovation Forum and provides evidence-based solutions that drive sustainability and circular economy outcomes.
