Position: Senior Software Developer

ROLE
As an experienced and hands-on Senior Software Developer you will lead the development and modernization of Microsoft-based applications and solutions. This role involves both high-level design and coding responsibilities, as well as mentoring and managing a small team of two software developers.
You will drive the transition of legacy systems to modern cloud-native microservices in Azure, develop custom solutions using SharePoint Framework (SPFx) with TypeScript and React, and lead development in various versions of the .NET platform including .NET 6 and 8.
Working closely with the Applications CoE Leadership Team, you will combine strong technical leadership with the ability to remain deeply involved in coding and architectural decision-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Lead and mentor a small team of 2 software developers, providing technical guidance, code reviews, and performance feedback.
- Coordinate task assignments, ensure development standards are met, and promote a collaborative and high-performing team culture.
- Implement scalable, cloud-native applications in Azure, focusing on microservices and modern service design.
- Oversee and contribute to the re-architecture of existing monolithic C# MVC applications into modular, distributed services.
- Design and implement reusable SPFx web parts for SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams using React and TypeScript.
- Work across and maintain systems built in .NET Framework (4.5 / 4.8) and modern applications in .NET Core / 6 / 8.
- Ensure clean, maintainable code with best practices in SOLID principles, design patterns, and automated testing.
- Drive implementation of DevOps pipelines and CI/CD practices using Azure DevOps.
- Utilize Azure services (App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Storage, SQL) for robust, scalable deployments.
- Design secure and performant API layers and integrations with third-party services and Microsoft Graph.
- Champion cloud best practices, security, observability, and performance monitoring.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of hands-on experience in software development, including leadership or mentoring responsibilities.
- Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET MVC, and Entity Framework.
- Deep understanding of .NET Framework 4.5/4.8, .NET 6, and .NET 8.
- Proven experience in migrating monolithic applications to microservices and designing cloud-native architectures.
- Solid experience building SPFx solutions using TypeScript and React.
- Skilled in Microsoft Azure services, particularly App Services, Functions, Service Bus, SQL, and Azure AD.
- Experience with CI/CD tools and processes, especially Azure DevOps.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and iterative delivery.
Essential/ Desirable
- Prior experience managing or mentoring developers.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS).
- Microsoft Certifications (e.g., Azure Developer Associate, SharePoint Developer).
- Familiarity with event-driven architecture, DDD, and patterns such as CQRS and Saga.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
