Test and Assembly Technician (End of Line)

Contract Type: Contract /Temporary 

Salary: £16.62 per hour 

Ricardo’s Performance Products division are seeking a Test & Assembly Technician on a contract basis. You will primarily complete end of line testing of transmissions for our Customers and support the technicians with the build of the transmissions when available. 

Some key accountabilities include

  • Loading / removing transmissions to the test rig.
  • Testing transmissions to agreed specification.
  • Perform basic reworks on transmissions to resolve failures found while testing.
  • Preparing EOL reports for customers when tests are completed, being confident with MS Excel will help as it is used for logging data and creating graphs.

Technical knowledge and experience required

  • Experience in a testing environment, preferably mechanical (engines/transmissions).
  • Very computer literate, especially in excel.
  • Be able to work as part of a team to achieve team objectives.
  • Strong organisational skills. Is self-motivated and proactive.
  • Clear, logical thinker with the ability to understand and solve problems.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of testing software such as Labview and CANape.
  • Some knowledge of the internal workings of transmissions and differentials.
