We have been supporting the UK Government to develop and enhance the UK’s National Atmospheric Emissions Inventory for over 30 years. Air quality pollutants and greenhouse gas emissions data from shipping is significant in the UK. Through our proprietary database management system and methodology, we estimate  emissions based on actual routes taken by ships and vessels and allocate them as domestic or international trades. As part of a consortium project, funded by the UK Government, we are developing a desk-based decision modelling and support system tool to analyse, scope and develop plans for the Shetland Islands' maritime sector energy transition.
