The Product Stewardship Conference takes place September 16-18, 2025 in Houston, Texas. The conference provides attendees with an opportunity to discuss the latest trends, share solutions to challenges and presents networking opportunities to further knowledge, relationships and enable collaboration.

Presenting ‘Chemical Hazard Trends in Regulation, Risk and Response - from immediate action to enduring impact’, Chris Sowden, Principal Consultant Support Responder for Ricardo, provides insight to the impact of forthcoming regulatory change and how industry should adapt its safety communication and emergency response procedures.

From considering short-term impacts to long-term effects on human health and the environment, the session focuses on three key considerations: regulatory trends and direction of travel; recent regulatory changes in the EU; and the effects of these on industry and emergency response.

Attendees will leave with an understanding of the regulatory trends and the long-term concerns related to chemicals, mixtures, and products, including human health and environmental impacts, and key considerations for safety communications and emergency response practices.
