Topic

Water

Time

We are launching a series of webinars that cover a range of topics related to water and climate, including climate forecasts, climate models and practical methods of climate adaptation. Our focus here at Ricardo is to help people and organisations of all shapes and sizes make better decisions and we know there are many reasons direct and indirect for everyone to be paying more attention to climate and water risk.

Our first webinar takes a look at seasonal climate forecasts – how are they made and what do we need to know if we want to use them in decision-making? We will then look at the forecast for the coming months and what the impacts might be, including on water markets in the Murray-Darling Basin.

Our second webinar will look at practical adaptation planning. Climate adaptation has become a bit of a buzz term, but what does it mean for your organisation and what are the basic building blocks for doing it effectively and efficiently?

Future webinars will take a look at long-term climate projections and how to use them effectively, and how to assess climate risks and opportunities – to meet regulatory requirements while also ensuring future resilience and productivity. What we include in these webinars will be informed by your feedback.
