Ricardo Performance Products offers its warm congratulations to its long-term high performance customer, McLaren F1, for a storming performance at Monza in the Italian Grand Prix. The race was won by McLaren’s Australian driver, Daniel Ricciardo, with second place going to his team-mate Lando Norris of Great Britain.

In what was a dramatic race, Ricciardo despite qualifying second, was first by turn one and lead almost the entire race. Norris completed some brave overtaking, and a brilliant late overtake put him into second place, giving McLaren a great one-two finish.

Throughout the race, the McLaren car was fast and reliable. The Italian Grand Prix was the second time that the sprint race had been used on the Saturday to set the grid for Sunday’s main event. Monza was the third race on consecutive weekends, which is a demanding schedule for the Formula 1 engineering teams.

The double success at Monza provides McLaren with significant progress towards securing third place in the constructors’ championship.

We offer our best wishes to the McLaren team and wish our friends and colleagues further and continued success for the Russian Grand Prix in Sochi later this month.
